You have to earn respect, it’s not “god-given”.
- So if you can respect a man who said “2+2=5” or “Earth is a flat”, that is your problem..

Also, toys are not meant to be talked to. Pots are not made to have on your head while talking to toys, and strainers aren’t made for this purpose either. But Bibles are meant to be read prayerfully, rosaries are meant to be prayed on, cassocks are meant to be worn, prayer rugs are made for this purpose, etc. It doesn’t look stupid to use things as you were meant to use them. If pots were made for that purpose, it wouldn’t look stupid. So a person using a rosary doesn’t look stupid.

That being said, there is a difference between looking stupid and being stupid, isn’t there?

So,

• talking to Spaghetti Monster is stupid but talking to crucifixion on the wall is not?
• Holding a strainer while talking to imaginary friend is stupid but holding crucifixion while talking with imaginary friend is not?
• Wearing a pot on the head is stupid, but wearing silly hats that look much more stupid than a pot are not?
  
  
  If you see anyone wearing that stupid hats on the steet you would say he looks stupid, but when it is about religion, it is OK, right??
  If you see someone talking to imaginary friend on the street, you would say he is crazy and deluded, but when it is your religion, it is OK, right?? 
  
  NO!! IT’S NOT!!! IT’S A DELUSION AND IT IS STUPID!!!

I hate people because they are idiots, not because I am an atheist and I’m a pessimist because  I’m surrounded with idiots and future doesn’t look very bright in that circumstances… NOT BECAUSE I’M AN ATHEIST!!!
